Course Fees

Course is held over a continuous 2 day, 5 day or 3 week period from the start date.

Refunds If you need to change course dates or change your mind about learning to become a barista get in touch and we can  move your booking to another training date or refund your course fees less the $100 processing & admin fee if you cancel more than 7 days prior to start date.

If you cancel less than 7 days before start date you will be refunded and the course fees less 30% admin and booking fee.

Course fees can only be refunded prior to attendance of your first class. Once you have attended class your course fees are non- refundable.

Transfers, Holds or Reselling Course fees are for individual private use only. In no instance can class be transferred, resold or put on hold.

Information all program curriculum, documentation and private member content made available to members is the sole property of The Barista Academy, It cannot be copied or shared in anyway with any; 3rd party, other individual, or entity.

Job Board we act as a distributor of 3rd party information only. We do not guarantee trainees placements, positions or work. The job board is a notice board service for you utilize at your discretion. Any and all information about job availability is place in good faith and The Barista Academy cannot be held liable for any misrepresentation from 3rd parties.

Certification is The Barista Academy’s own certification system, created in partnership with industry experts and café owners. It is not an NZQA or Service IQ qualification and does not gain you credits or visa permits. We provide certification to ensure a consistent standard of knowledge and skills. We are not liable for trainee’s skills or knowledge and no claim can be made against The Barista Academy in relation to the certification or individual improvement in trainee knowledge and skills.

Payment We do not store any credit card details, and all payments are handled by a secure, PCI compliant, third party payment gateway eWay. All payment transaction information is handled over an encrypted connection.


Privacy Policy

1.      Your privacy: The Barista Academy Limited, (“The Barista Academy”) is committed to ensuring the privacy of your information, and will hold all personal information collected in association with The Barista Academy in accordance with the requirements of the Privacy Act 1993.

2.      Information: This website may solicit certain personal information from you through features or activities (including games, contests, promotions and public forums). If The Barista Academy solicits and you provide personally identifiable information, this Privacy Policy will apply to that personally identifiable information. This clause 2 also applies to any information automatically retrieved during your visits to this website (together “your information”). For example, when you enter this website your computer may automatically be issued with a cookie. These are text files that identify your computer to The Barista Academy’s server, so that when you visit this website again, the cookie will identify your computer to The Barista Academy’s web server.

4.      Use of information: Your information will only be used for internal purposes, and to communicate with you in relation to The Barista Academy (and any third party’s) services, features and activities of this site, and for market research purposes.
